Places

Some of our favorite locations are not well known to the average person. These locations are interesting and very beautiful, and what better way to adorn Paradise than with its most luscious "fruits?"

Gorilla Rock is located just around the corner from Hanauma Bay at the first scenic stop. Care must be taken to reach this location because the slope down is steep and covered with loose rocks. The name is has been given because the large rock looks like the profile of a large gorilla looking out to sea.
Nuuanu Paradise is a lush green area similar to the rainforest located on the windward side of Oahu. But, this garden paradise is located just Mauka of downtown on Nuuanu Avenue.

Secret Falls requires a mere 15 minute hike up a steep, muddy trail almost directly beneath the Pali. The entrance to this trail is located in the Koolau Golf Course in Kailua. This waterfall is not really a secret but we have never seen any other photographs of it and we know of no other name for it.

Visit three of most popular Angels at our Angels of Hawaii Profiles at Secret Falls page.

Waialee Beach is located on Oahu's North Shore, just before Kawela Bay near Turtle Bay. Access is gained by parking at the last rest stop before Turtle Bay Resort and walking along the beach for 5 minutes.
Waimea Valley has a beauty all its own, garnered with waterfalls, rivers, botanical gardens, exotic flowers and birds. Our secret location is located at the entrance of the valley on the right side of the river.
Sharks Cove is located across from the Pupukea Foodland next to the Pupukea Fire Department. The name Sharks Cove is more indicative of the rock formations in the water of the cove itself and not because sharks frequent its shallow depths. Sharks Cove is actually an old quarry, a current fish reserve and is one of the most popular shallow water dive sites on Oahu.
